Accessibility statement
Effective August 28, 2026. Last updated August 28, 2026.
What we are aiming at
Sevana targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, for the marketing site, the operator application, and the family portal. Caregivers use this software on a phone in a hallway, and families use it on whatever device they have. It has to work for people who navigate by keyboard, who use a screen reader, who need larger text, or who turn motion off.
What we have done
- Every page starts with a skip link to the main content, and the main region is marked as a landmark.
- Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, and they show a visible focus ring.
- Motion follows the reduced-motion preference. Turn it on in your system settings and the content renders without animation.
- Color is checked against a single token set rather than picked per page, and color is never the only way we signal a state.
- Text scales with the browser font size, and layouts reflow to a narrow viewport without a horizontal scroll.
What we know is not right yet
This list is honest rather than short. We are auditing the product now and this page changes as findings are fixed.
- The audit is not finished
- We have not completed a full WCAG 2.2 AA audit of the operator application. Until it is done we cannot claim conformance for every page, only that AA is the target we build to.
- Animation on the marketing site
- The inspection-readiness preview uses a short scripted scan when it enters view. Its score and check results are present before the animation starts. With reduced motion enabled, the preview stays settled with no movement.
- PDF reports
- Reports are generated on the server as PDFs. They have not been checked for tagging, reading order, or screen reader output. If you need a report in another format, ask us and we will send it.
- Third-party sign-in screens
- Sign-in and account screens are rendered by our sign-in provider. We choose their configuration, but we do not control their markup.
How to tell us about a barrier
If something on Sevana stops you, write to info@sevanacare.com. Tell us the page or the screen, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. A screenshot helps but is not required.
We reply the same business day, which is the same promise we make on every other request that reaches us. In that reply we tell you what we found, and either the fix or a way to get the task done while we work on it. If you need information from Sevana in a different format, ask and we will send it.
Scope of this statement
This statement covers sevanacare.com, the demo at /demo, the operator application, and the family portal. It does not cover documents a facility uploads, which are written by the facility, or third-party sites we link to.
